According to a recent BBC report, Russian media outlets are gaining increasing traction in India, as reflected in their strong reception on social media — despite ongoing Western sanctions against them.

BBC Monitoring analyzed the performance of Sputnik India and RT India between April 1 and July 13 using Brandwatch and NewsWhip tools. The analysis revealed growth in both followers and engagement for these platforms on X.
