US President Donald Trump made new statements about the situation in Ukraine after communicating with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, apparently influenced by his vision, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday
Russia's actions are not an "aimless war," but way to ensure its interests, Peskov explained.
On Tuesday, Trump also stated that "Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years."
"The country's economy is working in such a way as to fully meet the needs of our armed forces, which are continuing the special military operation. This war is not aimless. This war is in order to ensure our security and our interests and eliminate the root causes of the conflict that currently exists between Russia and Ukraine, which, in fact, exists in the field of European security in general," Peskov told reporters.
