Russia has got into the top five suppliers of agricultural products to the Indian market, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said in an interview with Sputnik.
"In recent years, bilateral trade in agricultural products between Russia and India has been growing. In 2024, mutual trade in this segment increased by 63% compared to 2023, reaching $3.6 billion. As a result, Russia became one of the top five suppliers of agricultural products to the Indian market for the first time," Alipov said.
This process is not one-sided, the ambassador said, adding that Indian imports to Russia accounted for over 75% of bilateral trade in the agricultural sector in 2024.
