Police Eliminate 3 Terrorists in Attack on Peshawar Police Headquarters
Police have confirmed the elimination of three suicide bombers who launched an attack on the federal police headquarters in Peshawar on Monday morning, according to Peshawar Capital City Police Officer Mian Saeed Ahmad.
The attack, which occurred at 8:11 a.m. local time (03:11 GMT), initially involved three militants.
"Initially, three militants tried to attack the headquarters. One bomber blew himself up on the gate, while two others tried to enter the premises but were gunned down by FC personnel," the officer was quoted as saying by the Dawn broadcaster.
Samaa broadcaster also reported that, in addition to the three terrorists killed, the attack resulted in the deaths of three police officers and left two others wounded. Authorities have not yet provided further details on the condition of the injured officers.
