The United States and Israel carried out a coordinated series of strikes on February 28 targeting multiple sites in Iran, including locations in Tehran. In response, Iran launched retaliatory strikes against Israeli territory and US military bases across the Middle East.

IDF Says Estimates Over Half of All Launchers in Iran Destroyed
The Israeli military estimates that more than half of Iran's rocket launchers have been destroyed in airstrikes, which affects Tehran's ability to carry out attacks, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokeswoman Anna Ukolova told Sputnik on Thursday.
"One of our important goals is launchers. At the moment, according to our estimates, more than 50% of rocket launchers in Iran have been destroyed. Of course, this also affects their ability to launch missiles on our territory," Ukolova said.
The army also records a decrease in the intensity of shelling from Iran, but the threat exists, the spokeswoman added.

Iran Attacks US Tanker in Northern Part of Persian Gulf, Ship on Fire – IRGC
The Iranian military hit a US tanker in the Persian Gulf, the vessel is on fire, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Thursday.
"The tanker was hit this morning in the northern part of the Persian Gulf by the IRGC naval forces and now [the vessel] is on fire," the IRGC said in a statement.
Additionally, the IRGC said that the Strait of Hormuz is under control of Iran, and vessels of the US, Israel and European countries will not pass through it.

IDF Announces Series of Strikes on Hezbollah Command Centers in Beirut
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday a series of strikes on Hezbollah command centers in Beirut, one of which was used by the movement's air force.
"A short while ago, the Israeli Air Force completed a wave of intelligence-based strikes in Beirut against several command centers belonging to the Hezbollah," the IDF wrote on Telegram.
