US, Israel Accused Iran of Developing WMD for Years: Russia's Zakharova
The US and Israel have been accusing Iran of developing weapons of mass destruction (WMD) for years, even though Iran's nuclear program is under International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) control, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Sputnik.
"Let me remind you that for many years Israel and the US have been accusing Iran in various ways of developing weapons of mass destruction. This is despite the fact that Iran's nuclear program is under IAEA control and Iran has become the most inspected country in this regard... There have been endless reports and discussions of Iran's nuclear program both within the international organization based in Vienna and in other forums," Zakharova said.
Thanks to this work, much has been achieved, including agreements concluded with the participation of Russia, the US, the European Union, and China, the spokeswoman added.
