Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday remembered the victims of the terror attack in Pahalgam that took place a year ago, saying the innocent lives lost in the horrific assault would never be forgotten.

"Remembering the innocent lives lost in the gruesome Pahalgam terror attack on this day last year. They will never be forgotten. My thoughts are also with the bereaved families as they cope with this loss. As a nation, we stand united in grief and resolve. India will never bow to any form of terror. The heinous designs of terrorists will never succeed," PM Modi wrote on X.

Marking one year since the attack, Modi said the nation continues to stand with the families of those who were killed.
On April 22, 2025, terrorists killed 26 civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in one of the deadliest attacks on civilians in the region in recent years.
Following the attack, Indian security forces launched an operation and later neutralized militants linked to the incident.
