Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed during a brief visit to Abu Dhabi on Friday.
PM Modi strongly condemned recent attacks on the UAE and praised the President’s leadership as well as his consistent support for the large Indian community living in the Emirates.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs wrote on X, "The two leaders reviewed the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and discussed enhancing cooperation in trade, energy, and other key sectors."
The spokesperson further highlighted that the talks resulted in the signing of multiple agreements covering strategic defense collaboration, petroleum reserve cooperation, shipping, infrastructure development, and advanced technology partnerships. A major highlight of the visit was the UAE’s announcement of a USD 5 billion investment into India—underscoring Abu Dhabi’s long-term confidence in the Indian economy and bilateral growth trajectory.
The visit continues the upward momentum in India-UAE relations, marked by deeper energy interdependence, strengthened defense ties, and increasing investments under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership roadmap.
