The work of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is going on as usual, despite Kiev's attempts to strike at St. Petersburg, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, the St. Petersburg governor's administration said that Ukraine attacked infrastructure facilities in several districts of the city using drones in the early hours of Wednesday, injuring several people.
"The work of the forum goes on as usual. The agenda is very rich, there are a lot of events, a lot of participants. Work is underway," Peskov told Life correspondent Alexander Yunashev, answering a question about whether strikes on St. Petersburg could affect the work of the SPIEF.
The 2026 SPIEF is taking place from June 3-6.
