The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) in the Zaporozhye Region has been without external power supply for more than two days, its internal consumption is supported by diesel generators, ZNPP spokeswoman Yevgenia Yashina told Sputnik.
The ZNPP lost external power supply on Wednesday evening due to the shutdown of the 330 kV Ferrosplavnaya-1 high-voltage power transmission line. Backup diesel generators were started at the station. The 750 kV Dneprovskaya main line has been off due to damage since March 24.
"The station has been without external power supply for more than two days. Its needs are supported by the operation of diesel generators," Yashina said.
There are no violations in the operation of security systems, the situation is under the control of the plant staff, the spokeswoman added.
