Russia to Retaliate against New EU Sanctions: Russian Mission to UN
Russia will take effective retaliatory measures in response to new sanctions of the European Union, the Russian Permanent Mission to the EU said in a statement regarding the expansion of so-called personal sanctions against Russia shared with Sputnik on Tuesday.
"Of course, the Russian side will take effective retaliatory measures," the statement read.
The EU continues to persecute Russian citizens for their culture, freedom of speech and faith, the statement added.
"Russia strongly condemns any illegitimate unilateral coercive measures. This approach enjoys support throughout the world," the statement also said.
