US Brent Crude Dips Under $78, Hits March Low

Brent Crude Oil dropped below $78 per barrel for the first time since March 2, according to trading data.
By 07:12 GMT, August Brent crude futures were down 1.36% at $77.89 per barrel.
At the same time, U.S. benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) Crude Oil also weakened, with July futures falling 1.74% to $74.73 per barrel.

Meanwhile, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has upgraded its forecast for global oil production in 2026 by 0.04 million barrels per day to 3.87 million barrels per day, and now expects production at 102.37 million barrels per day, according to its fresh report on Wednesday.
According to the May report, the agency expected the 2026 production to decrease by 3.91 million barrels per day to 102.25 million barrels per day.
