The United States has lifted its blockade of Iranian ports and waters in line with President Donald Trump's directives, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Thursday.
"Today, U.S. forces lifted the blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas, in accordance with the President's direction," CENTCOM wrote on X.
"American forces are not impeding the transit of vessels to or from Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman."
The command further highlighted that while the blockade has ceased, US warships will remain in the area to ensure compliance with the clauses of the memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran.
