Costa Reiterates Need to Restore EU Diplomatic Channel with Russia
European Council President Antonio Costa said on Monday that the European Union needs to reestablish diplomatic channels with Russia to enable direct communication.
"What I am doing is to open a diplomatic channel, because when we want to speak with Russia, we need to listen directly from them and when we have some message to send, we need to send directly to them," Costa said at a press conference following the EU-Moldova summit in Brussels.
