A corresponding telegram addressed to the Venezuelan presidential envoy, Delcy Rodriguez, was published on the Kremlin website."Dear Ms. Rodriguez, please accept my deepest condolences over the tragic aftermath of the devastating earthquake in northwestern Venezuela," the telegram reads.Putin asked for his sincere sympathies to be conveyed to the families and friends of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to all those affected by the disaster."We express our feelings of solidarity and support to the friendly Venezuelan people during this difficult time," the president added.Venezuela has been rocked by two powerful tremors, the first of which, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, measured a magnitude of 7.2, and the second a magnitude of 7.5. Venezuelan Presidential Commissioner Delcy Rodriguez reported that at least 32 people were killed and more than 700 injured as a result of the powerful earthquake.
