Russian air defence forces destroyed 179 Ukrainian drones overnight, the Russian Defence Ministry said."During the night, from 8 p.m. Moscow time [17:00 GMT] on June 30 to 7 a.m. Moscow time [04:00 GMT] on July 1, air defence alert systems intercepted and destroyed 179 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)," the statement said.The drones were shot down over the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Penza, Rostov, Saratov, Samara, Tver and Ulyanovsk regions, the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, the Moscow Region, the Republic of Crimea, and over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas, the ministry said.
