Europe 'Hostage' to Pro-Ukraine Policy at OSCE: Russia's Permanent Representative
Europe has become “a hostage” to a pro-Ukraine policy within the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), according to Russia’s Permanent Representative to the organisation, Dmitry Polyansky.
Polyansky said Ukrainian representatives consistently introduce anti-Russian narratives even during meetings on unrelated subjects. Several European countries, whether deliberately or reluctantly, support this approach, he said.
"Even when there is a meeting on abstract topics, the task of the Ukrainians is to bring in an anti-Russian element. Europeans — some consciously, some reluctantly — help them in this. They have become hostages of the course of support for the Kiev regime," Polyansky told Sputnik.
Nearly every issue discussed at the OSCE is now, in some way, connected to Ukraine, which he said has come to dominate the organisation’s agenda.
