The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Friday that it had detained a Russian citizen who was supposed to organize the bombing of a security officer's car on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services.
"In the city of Moscow, the activities of a Russian citizen born in 1996, involved in the preparation of a terrorist act on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, were suppressed," the FSB said in a statement.
The detainee traveled through Turkey and Moldova to Ukraine, where she was instructed in conducting sabotage and terrorist activities, after which she returned to Russia, the statement read, adding that the woman was detained at the moment of laying an improvised explosive device under the car.
"It has been established that the suspect established contact with the curator through the Telegram and WhatsApp messengers, whom she informed of her readiness to participate in terrorist activities in exchange for assistance in leaving for permanent residence in one of the EU countries," the FSB added.
