Border trade between India and China will resume on August 1, for the first time since 2019, the PTI news agency reported on Tuesday.
Trade will be reportedly resumed through the Lipulekh pass located on the border between the Tibet region and India's Uttarakhand state.
Border trade between the two states was suspended in 2019 due to the COVID-19 outbreak, as well as a conflict which broke out in 2020.
Previously, border trade between India and China was suspended after the 1962 war. It was resumed only in 1992.
