Sixteen Bangladeshi workers have been killed in a fire that broke out at a factory in Riyadh, Al-Ghad newspaper reported on Monday, citing local officials.
The fire broke out on Sunday at a
factory engaged in producing sofas, the report said.
The Bangladeshi Foreign Ministry said it was investigating the incident, adding that the Bangladeshi embassy in Riyadh was in touch with the Saudi authorities to arrange the transportation of bodies back to their homeland, according to the report.
