Russia has not issued any ultimatums to the United States regarding its participation in Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory, but regularly raises the issue in bilateral contacts, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"No, there was no ultimatum on our part," Lavrov told Russian media, when asked to comment on media reports that Russia had issued an ultimatum to the United States regarding American support for Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory.
Lavrov explained that Russia raises this issue with the United States in its contacts.
Russian and US security services are working in silence, Sergey Lavrov said, commenting on CIA Director John Ratcliffe's visit to Moscow.
"I wasn't there. We, like the rest of the world, have rules governing how security services interact. There's nothing unusual about that. And there's nothing unusual about them working in silence," Lavrov said.
Ratcliffe visited Moscow on August 25. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the visit was related to contacts between security services, and Russian President Vladimir Putin was briefed on the meetings.
Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin later told reporters that issues within the competence of intelligence services were discussed with Ratcliffe.
