On Sunday, Fars news agency reported explosions on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported citing an unnamed US official that the US had launched a strike, presumably on Iranian missile launchers on Larak.Subsequently, Press TV reported that Iran had fired missiles at US vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as at US bases in West Asia.US Central Command claimed that it struck Iran to prevent its forces from mining the Strait of Hormuz.

On Sunday, Fars news agency reported explosions on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported citing an unnamed US official that the US had launched a strike, presumably on Iranian missile launchers on Larak.
