Russia's Investigative Committee has opened a terrorism probe following a deadly Ukrainian drone attack on a passenger bus in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), a committee spokeswoman told Sputnik on Friday.
"A criminal case has been opened on terrorism charges in connection with another attack by Ukrainian militants on a passenger bus in the DPR," Svetlana Petrenko said.
On Thursday, DPR head Denis Pushilin said that a woman was killed in an attack on a commuter bus in the city of Gorlovka (also known as Horlivka). Five people were wounded.
Ukrainian drones also targeted a garbage truck, killing a man and injuring another, Pushilin said on Thursday. Two more civilians were injured in an attack on a highway.
n June, a Ukrainian drone struck a bus carrying a Belarusian children’s football team in Russia’s Bryansk Region, killing a woman accompanying the team and injuring eight people, including six children.
In May, a Ukrainian terror attack on a dormitory in Starobelsk, in the Lugansk People’s Republic, killed 21 people and injured more than 40. A missile also struck a residential area of the city.
