The judicial systems of BRICS countries are among the most important guarantees of stability and justice amid the emergence of a multipolar world, Russian Supreme Court Chairman Igor Krasnov said at the opening of the Forum of Presidents of the Supreme Courts of BRICS Member States in New Delhi.
"In today’s world, amid an era of global transformation, BRICS countries must provide a coordinated response to the most complex challenges and threats while ensuring the rule of law. At the same time, the judicial systems of our countries are the most important guarantors of stability and justice amid the emergence of a multipolar world," Krasnov said.
He expressed confidence that the forum would serve as a source of new ideas and approaches for addressing pressing issues related to judicial activity that are of mutual interest to the participating countries.
Krasnov added that the effective implementation of these ideas could help improve the quality of justice in BRICS countries and strengthen citizens’ trust in their judicial systems, ultimately benefiting both states and their people.
He also noted that the atmosphere of the forum, hosted by India, encourages open and constructive dialogue on the activities of the courts.
