18:05 11.09.2026 (Updated: 18:06 11.09.2026) Russia and Iran will continue to strengthen their strategic partnership, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
On Friday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko met with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Sobhani, who is in Moscow on a working visit.
"During a substantive conversation, views were exchanged on current topics of bilateral relations and foreign policy interaction. The parties confirmed their commitment to consistently strengthening the Russian-Iranian comprehensive strategic partnership," the statement read.
The diplomats also discussed efforts to create the most favorable conditions for the functioning of the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the two countries.
