Indian Exporters to Russia Could Now Avail Collateral-Free Loans
20:16 25.09.2026 (Updated: 20:50 25.09.2026) Indian micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) exporting to Russia could now get collateral-free loans of up to $2.5 million, facilitated under a new platform BRICS Secure, which kicked off operations this week.
Ankur Goel, CEO of Skwerup Capital Partners, the operator of BRICS Secure, said that the new platform will bolster Indian exports to Russia, thus helping to address the bilateral trade imbalance.
The BRICS Secure is a private sector initiative, backed by non-banking financial companies (NBCSs), based on the outcome of the BRICS New Delhi Declaration.
At the same time, BRICS Secure will also help Indian companies to obtain supplementary coverage in the form of "buyer insurance," which would guarantee payment to the exporter in the event of non-payment for goods due to political or commercial reasons.
BRICS Secure platform is being backed by Skwerup Capital Partners, a financial advisory firm operating in BRICS nations.
Speaking to Sputnik India on Friday, Skwerup Capital Partners
CEO Ankur Goel said that the new mechanisms would enable companies
engaged in trade with Russia to secure working capital to fulfil export orders as well as insure them against the risk of buyer non-payment.
“This mechanism will also help companies from other BRICS nations or African states to establish special purpose vehicles (SPVs) in India to conduct business with Russia and utilize these mechanisms to support their trade activities,” Goel said.
