India and Russia have significant scope to deepen cooperation in technology, cybersecurity and startup development, said Gaurav Sharma, CEO of the ACIC VGU incubation centre to Sputnik India.
Speaking at the Global Digital Forum 2026, currently underway in Moscow, Sharma said he represents more than 200 startups working across areas including technology, deep tech, healthcare and drones.
He said the forum provides an important platform for discussions on technological opportunities and cybersecurity risks, as digital technologies continue to create new jobs and business opportunities.
Sharma called for greater cooperation between India and Russia in emerging technologies, saying startups from both countries could work together on research, technology transfer and scaling businesses.
He also highlighted opportunities for Indian and Russian startups to expand into each other’s markets and launch ventures in the respective countries.
According to Sharma, stronger collaboration could help both countries accelerate innovation and create new opportunities for technology-driven enterprises.
