17:25 06.06.2026 (Updated: 18:36 10.06.2026) India is willing to share its telecommunications technology and regulatory experience with developing nations, a senior Indian government official told Sputnik on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Communications Administrations of Participants of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC).
India has built its own 4G and 5G technology stack and moved to a fully automated spectrum licensing system — reforms that enabled one of the world's fastest 5G rollouts, Dr. Revathi Mannepalli, Joint Wireless Advisor at India's Department of Telecommunications and a candidate for Director of the ITU's Radio Communication Bureau, told Sputnik.
She highlighted India's digital public infrastructure — including Aadhaar-linked mobile payments and direct government benefit transfers — as models ready to be adopted by other countries.
