"Four violating oil tankers hit simultaneously while transferring oil cargo in the northern Persian Gulf," the IRGC was quoted by Iranian news network Press TV.The IRGC that three other vessels struck mines west of the Strait of Hormuz overnight and caught fire.The force warned that US military bases across the Middle East could be targeted if Washington continued to encourage merchant ships to cross the mined route in the Strait of Hormuz.

"Four violating oil tankers hit simultaneously while transferring oil cargo in the northern Persian Gulf," the IRGC was quoted by Iranian news network Press TV.
