The Indian Army shot down an alleged Pakistani drone along the border in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Lt. Col. Devender Anand, Army troops recovered five loaded AK magazines, INR 200,000 cash ($2,440), and a sealed packet from the drone, which was spotted on the Line of Control (LoC), the de-facto border between India and Pakistan, on the intervening night of 12-13 April.
This, however, isn't the first incident of a drone trying to drop illegal weapons and drugs in Indian territory this month.
On 1 April, the Border Security Force (BSF) destroyed a drone when it tried to violate Indian airspace in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir union territory.
On 10 March, the paramilitary force shot down another drone in Punjab's Gurdaspur District, confiscating AK rifles, and ammunition from the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAF).
