"The international agenda will include business dialogues with representatives of India, China, Laos, Mongolia, ASEAN, and the EAEU–BRICS meeting," Anton Kobyakov, the executive secretary of the forum's organising committee stated.

Kobyakov added that among other functions scheduled during the four-day event is a delegation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and representatives of BRICS gathering to meet.
Overall, over 60 events spanning six different segments focusing on international cooperation, technological development, logistics, and education in addition to dialogue on how to further intensify growth in Russia's Far East will take place during the Eastern Economic Forum.
The Eastern Economic Forum was formed in 2015 under Russia's leadership. According to information available on the EEF's website, it is an international platform to encourage business cooperation between Russia and the Asia-Pacific region.
In addition, it focuses on spurring investment in the country's easternmost regions that are largely situated on the Asian continent.
