Project to Americanize the World Failed: Iranian President

Of late, Iran has repeatedly stated that America's dominance in both the economic and the military sphere was on the wane.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has underlined that Washington's attempts to "Americanize" the world have flopped.
"The world is transitioning into a novel international order, and the project to Americanize the world has failed," Raisi said in his address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
"Thanks to the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian nation is proudly playing the biggest role in unmasking the imperialists in the East and the West," the Iranian leader elaborated.
Raisi's comments come at a time when Tehran's clout in the world has been growing at a steady pace.
Last month, Iran was formally inducted into the BRICS grouping, allowing the Middle East country to raise matters related to its interests in the powerful economic bloc.
Additionally, Iran signed a peace deal with long-time regional rival Saudi Arabia following talks held under Chinese supervision.
The agreement brought immediate benefits to the region with Iran suspending hostilities against Saudi-led coalition forces engaged in fighting against Yemen's Houthi rebels.
The Sunni-majority monarchy and Shiite Iran have also agreed to cooperate with the former's reported bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2030.
