Kiev lost "a lot of equipment" near the villages of Rabotino and Verbovoe in the direction of Zaporozhye, a US news agency reported, quoting an anonymous Ukrainian fighter.
In early June, the much-anticipated Ukrainian counter-offensive commenced. Despite initial doubts from even the most assertive Western politicians, it was quickly labeled as a failure due to the significant number of casualties and lack of substantial progress.
A few months later, Russian President Vladimir Putin insisted that the Ukrainian counter-offensive had failed. According to the latest figures, Kiev has lost over 71,000 troops and is reportedly in desperate need of new recruits.
