Pakistan's Former UN envoy, Maleeha Lodhi, has castigated US President Joe Biden's visit to Israel in the midst of the humanitarian catastrophe at the Gaza Hospital saying that, "the one-sided position of Joe Biden" has increased the risk that the conflict will spread to other countries in the region.

Criticising the United States for its stance on the Gaza conflict, Lodhi stated that the support for Israel by the US has disappointed Muslims worldwide.
According to Lodhi “the US role in this crisis has been very disappointing. Currently, the most pressing issue is to prevent the conflict from spreading to other countries in the region.”
Furthermore, the former envoy appealed to the international community to get involved as the intense conflict has created a severe humanitarian crisis.
Earlier in the day, interim Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwaarul Haq Kakar, urged the world community to "hold accountable" those guilty of this heinous atrocity.

Palestinian health officials claimed that the explosion at the Gaza hospital on Tuesday was caused by an Israeli air strike, which reportedly took the lives of more than 500 Palestinians. Israel has denied any accountability for the catastrophe, accusing Palestinian Islamic Jihad of launching a misfired rocket.
