One of the leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the political party which is leaving no stone unturned to ensure former Prime Minister and party supremo Nawaz Sharif receives a grand welcome, promised "heavenly tickets" to all who attend the rally being organised to celebrate his return after four years' exile.
According to reports, prominent politician Chaudhry Asadur Rehman, drew public criticism for promising tickets to heaven to all those welcoming Sharif at the party’s forthcoming political rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on 21 October.
In a video, circulated widely on various social media platforms, the PML-N leader, while addressing a meeting in Kamalia, can be heard saying that on 21 October, “angels will be compiling a list of those who go to Minar-e-Pakistan to welcome Nawaz Sharif”.
In an attempt to attract even more people to the event, Rehman extended the “clearance certificate” of direct entry into heaven without facing any “reckoning”, the reports said.
