The seven seater helicopter has two pilots on board, who are injured, while one personnel was killed after he was hit by the rotor blade of the chopper.
INS Chetak is one of the oldest helicopters in the Navy.
The incident happened around 2:30 pm, during the training session. However, Indian Navy has not yet released any statement so far.

The Indian Armed Forces highly rely on helicopters for a wide range of essential missions, such as operational tasks and comprehensive pilot training for all branches of the military.
Military expert earlier told Sputnik India that Indian government planned to replace the ageing and outdated Cheetah and Chetak with the Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter.
