India Will Not Remain Silent If Any World Power Challenges Its Sovereignty: Defence Minister

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has followed a path of assertive diplomacy, not succumbing to pressure from bullies like the US and giving a befitting reply to supporters of terrorism (Pakistan).

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday emphasised that the country's armed forces will not remain silent if any world power challenges its sovereignty.
Operation Sindoor illustrated the armed forces’ ability to find and eliminate elements that challenge India’s sovereignty, irrespective of where they are concealed, he stated.

"No power in the world, if it challenges our sovereignty, will find India sitting silently. Today's India says that whether it is terrorism or any other kind of problem, we have the capability to deal with and defeat it," Singh said during a public event in Gujarat's Kutch district.

Notably, Kutch was one of the regions targeted by Pakistan's military during its counter-operation to India's Operation Sindoor in May earlier this year.
However, thanks to the S-400 air defence system, which India acquired from Russia in an over $5 billion deal, repeated Pakistani attacks to cause damage to the country's military installations were repelled.
Furthermore, India caught the Pakistani Air Force by surprise, destroying their aircraft bunkers, runways, radar sites and even Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), using the widely acclaimed BrahMos missile to great effect.

"I am pleased that Indian forces have successfully achieved all of Operation Sindoor's military objectives. However, our fight against terrorism continues," the minister said.
