"We have to do this. And I think not only Iran, but the entire international community is asking for accountability. Because what the United States and Israel have done is a crime against international peace and security. This is a war crime, a crime against humanity," Baghaei said.
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on Monday explained the killing of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' intelligence chief, Majid Khademi, by US and Israeli failures on the battlefield, arguing that his death would not undermine the Iranian armed forces.
"Killings and crimes cannot shake the ideals of selflessness," Khamenei said in a message on Khademi's death.
Earlier in the day, the IRGC announced the death of Khademi in a US-Israeli attack.
Iran's spiritual leader said the United States and Israel had "suffered a series of defeats in the war imposed on the Iranian nation and have failed in their sinister plans."
