Born in Paris, François Gautier was a South Asia correspondent for Le Figaro. He wrote columns for Indian newspapers, such as the Indian Express, the Pioneer, and provided regular contributions for Rediff, New Indian Express, and Times of India blogs. Gautier is the author of several books, with the latest being "Hindu Power in the 21st Century". He now shuttles between Pune and Delhi and is building a Museum of (real) Indian History in Pune.
