Twitter has been flooded with memes and sarcastic comments following Elon Musk's Wednesday announcement that he would make way for "someone foolish enough" as the company's CEO. "I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job!" Musk wrote on Twitter before adding that once he found a suitable individual to act as the chief of the highly influential messaging app, he will only look after the software and server teams there."After that, I will just run the software & servers teams," the Twitter boss declared. In the poll, more than 57 percent of users, or 10 million votes, supported Musk's resignation from Twitter only two months after he took charge of the San Francisco-based organization for $44 billion. However, Musk's statement regarding his Twitter future came with a twist as he alleged that "bots" played a part in his defeat in the poll in which users voted against him staying as the social media giant's chief.Though the development was widely anticipated as Musk had pledged to abide by the poll's results, he was subjected to massive trolling almost immediately after his announcement."Forget about softwares, you should be the CMO Chief Memes Officer," a social media user said sarcastically."It would be a lot cooler if you sold the company completely and closed your account. That would be a really hip memelord thing to do," a third noted.Meanwhile, others mocked him by arguing that he should appoint them as Twitter's new chief."Hey man, I'm a huge dumb*ss, I’ll do it," a fifth asked while taking a swipe at Musk."I have said that I will do it. My conditions are: Musk deactivates his account and does not tweet for three years. I get to hire whoever I want. The financial goal by end 2023 is to return to the revenue that Twitter had at the beginning of 2022, with growth by end of year three," a sixth summed up.

Elon Musk's tenure as Twitter boss has been marked by chaos with the business tycoon bringing sweeping changes after acquiring the social network in October.
Twitter has been flooded with memes and sarcastic comments following Elon Musk's Wednesday announcement that he would make way for "someone foolish enough" as the company's CEO.
"I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job!" Musk wrote on Twitter before adding that once he found a suitable individual to act as the chief of the highly influential messaging app, he will only look after the software and server teams there.
"After that, I will just run the software & servers teams," the Twitter boss declared.
In the poll, more than 57 percent of users, or 10 million votes, supported Musk's resignation from Twitter only two months after he took charge of the San Francisco-based organization for $44 billion.
However, Musk's statement regarding his Twitter future came with a twist as he alleged that "bots" played a part in his defeat in the poll in which users voted against him staying as the social media giant's chief.
Though the development was widely anticipated as Musk had pledged to abide by the poll's results, he was subjected to massive trolling almost immediately after his announcement.
"Forget about softwares, you should be the CMO Chief Memes Officer," a social media user said sarcastically.
"Maybe you should run the cafeteria coffee shop. Seems like your serial inability to tell the truth will do the least damage there," another suggested.
"It would be a lot cooler if you sold the company completely and closed your account. That would be a really hip memelord thing to do," a third noted.
Meanwhile, others mocked him by arguing that he should appoint them as Twitter's new chief.
"I'm not foolish, but I'll take the job. But only if you agree to be "hands off". Don't worry -- I got this," a Twitter user said.
"Hey man, I'm a huge dumb*ss, I’ll do it," a fifth asked while taking a swipe at Musk.
"I have said that I will do it. My conditions are: Musk deactivates his account and does not tweet for three years. I get to hire whoever I want. The financial goal by end 2023 is to return to the revenue that Twitter had at the beginning of 2022, with growth by end of year three," a sixth summed up.
