The meeting was said to have been attended by Olympic Bronze medal winners Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, Commonwealth and Asian Games gold medallist Vinesh Phogat, and known wrestlers Sangeeta Phogat and Satyawart Kadian.Media reports also indicated that having met the Home Minister, the athletes would now wait for action taken by the government.Though the protestors have been pressing for stringent action against Singh since January, in May, the grapplers called for a perpetual sit-in at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, a protesting site barely a kilometre from the Indian parliament. Last month, their protest in Delhi saw some serious drama, when the athletes complained of being physically assaulted by Delhi Police. Subsequently, many political parties threw their support behind the wrestlers. Last week, the protesting grapplers went to Haridwar, a famous Hindu pilgrimage site, to toss their medals into the River Ganges as a mark of protest for not getting justice. However, the wrestlers were prevented from doing this by a prominent farmer leader Naresh Tikait who, along with the athletes, issued a five-day ultimatum to the central government to take action on the matter. Meanwhile, Delhi Police are investigating the case against Singh. They have filed two First Information Reports (FIRs) against him.

The athletes recently threatened to toss their medals (including their Olympic ones) into the River Ganges, but then backtracked and issued a five-day ultimatum to the federal government to arrest Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Singh.
A group of top Indian grapplers, who are demanding action against
wrestling chief Brij Bhushan Singh over
sexual harassment allegations, met federal Home Minister
Amit Shah late Saturday night in Delhi, media reports revealed on Monday.
The wrestlers called for an impartial probe and quick action against Singh during the meeting.
The gathering reportedly, which began around 11:00 pm, lasted for about two hours.
The meeting was said to have been attended by Olympic Bronze medal winners Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, Commonwealth and Asian Games gold medallist Vinesh Phogat, and known wrestlers Sangeeta Phogat and Satyawart Kadian.
"Let the law take its course," Shah told wrestlers, NDTV reported.
Media reports also indicated that having met the Home Minister, the athletes would now wait for
action taken by the government.
Though the protestors have been pressing for stringent action against Singh since January, in May, the grapplers called for a perpetual sit-in at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, a protesting site barely a kilometre from the Indian parliament.
Last month, their protest in Delhi saw some serious drama, when the athletes complained of being physically assaulted by Delhi Police. Subsequently, many political parties threw their support behind the wrestlers.
Last week, the protesting grapplers went to Haridwar, a famous Hindu pilgrimage site, to toss their medals into the
River Ganges as a mark of protest for not getting justice.
