On Tuesday, a technical snag forced a San Francisco-bound Air India flight from Delhi to make an emergency landing in Russia's far east town of Magadan.
An Air India reserve flight carrying all the 216 flyers and 16 crew members departed for the US city of San Francisco from Magadan on Thursday, the airline said in a statement.
This came after US-bound travelers were left stranded in Magadan following the Air India plane's forced emergency landing at the airport in Russia's remote port city.
Air India added that the airline has enhanced its "on-ground support in San Francisco before the ferry flight's arrival at San Francisco International Airport (SFO)."
"Air India has mobilised additional on-ground support at SFO to carry out the clearance formalities for all passengers upon arrival," the Indian carrier tweeted. "The team at SFO is prepared to provide all necessary assistance to the passengers, including but not limited to medical care, ground transportation, and onward connections in applicable cases," it added.
On Wednesday, Air India sent a special plane to deliver essential items and aid material for stranded passengers in Magadan.

Air India's Reserve Plane Takes Off With Aid For Stranded Passengers in Russia
A regional Russian official confirmed to Sputnik that the passengers and crew were offered food and accommodated in Magadan's hotels.
"Now people are happy, we visited the accommodation centers today. Everyone is happy. Let's hope that they will leave with good impressions of the city of Magadan," the official said.
Even a stranded Indian traveler named Gagan praised the Russian authorities for their efforts.
"They have been nice. We have been lucky because we are in a college dorm. We just got Wi-Fi about an hour ago, so we have been able to be in touch with our families," he told an Indian media outlet.
