Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday stated that Belgrade would simplify its visa regime for Indian citizens, only months after suspending their visa-free entry at the behest of the European Union (EU).The move was announced after Vucic held talks with his Indian counterpart President Droupadi Murmu at the presidential palace in the country's capital.Murmu is the first Indian head of state to visit Serbia.Among other proposals that were discussed during the meeting between Vucic and Murmu were introducing direct flights between Belgrade and Delhi.Additionally, the two presidents vowed to boost trade ties and increase cooperation at multinational forums, including the United Nations (UN)."Enhanced interaction between our business organizations will lead to robust, long-term, and mutually beneficial partnerships," she concluded.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday stated that
Belgrade would simplify its visa regime for Indian citizens, only months after suspending their
visa-free entry at the behest of the
European Union (EU).The move was announced after Vucic held talks with his Indian counterpart
President Droupadi Murmu at the presidential palace in the country's capital.
Murmu is the
first Indian head of state to visit Serbia.
"Yours is a country of intelligent, hardworking people driven by innovation and ideas. Serbia can become an effective gateway for Indian companies to access broader markets in Europe and Eurasia," Murmu said during the India-Serbia Business Forum in Belgrade.
Among other proposals that were discussed during the meeting between Vucic and Murmu were introducing direct flights between Belgrade and Delhi.
The Serbian leader also expressed his gratitude to New Delhi for supporting Serbia's territorial integrity.
Additionally, the two presidents vowed to boost trade ties and
increase cooperation at multinational forums, including the United Nations (UN).
"We resolved to build further on our long-standing bilateral ties, especially in trade and investment, science and technology, including information and digital technologies, and to promote people-to-people contacts further," Murmu was quoted as saying in a statement released by her office.
"Enhanced interaction between our business organizations will lead to robust, long-term, and mutually beneficial partnerships," she concluded.
