The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will on Sunday be holding a crucial meeting in Telangana as part of its preparations for the state assembly elections and 2024 parliamentary polls.BJP national President JP Nadda will chair the meeting, and at least 11 party state chiefs will attend it.The meeting takes place the day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state.According to sources in the party, the meeting was called with the aim of preparing a strategy for the upcoming state assembly elections as well as parliamentary polls, and to prepare an action plan, particularly after the recent defeat in Karnataka.The state assembly elections in Telangana are scheduled to be held in December this year, while the parliamentary polls are slated for April-May 2024.Eyeing both elections, the BJP made some organisational rejigs and appointed federal minister G Kishan Reddy as the Telangana state unit chief of the party.Reddy has been tasked with winning the upcoming state polls as the party looks up to open a gateway to the south.Apart from this, a Cabinet reshuffle is also likely to happen in the Prime Minister Modi-led federal government, and the move will be aimed at strengthening the party ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Telangana on Saturday, where he laid foundation stones for several important infrastructure projects. While addressing a public meeting, he highlighted the significant role of the state in India’s rapid economic growth.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will on Sunday be holding a
crucial meeting in Telangana as part of its preparations for the state assembly elections and
2024 parliamentary polls.

JP Nadda will chair the meeting, and at least 11 party state chiefs will attend it.
