Delhi's Health Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Saurabh Bhardwaj alerted to a possible increase in vector-borne diseases like dengue, chikungunya and malaria on Monday after the national capital witnessed flooding.While no uptick in the diseases has been registered to date, he instructed all government departments in the city to constantly monitor the situation.While talking to the reporters during a visit to a government hospital, Bhardwaj said that east and northeast Delhi have largely been impacted due to floods.The AAP legislator said that the water level of the river has risen slightly following a brief drop, as northern parts of the country have witnessed rains in the last two days which are not discharging into the river.On Monday, the water level of the river was recorded to be 205.84 metres at 1 p.m. (IST), slightly more than the 205.52 metres recorded on Sunday night.

The Indian capital city witnessed flooding after the water level of the Yamuna River reached an all-time high of 208.57 meters, breaking the previous record of 207.59 meters set in 1978.

flooding.
While no uptick in the diseases has been registered to date, he instructed all government departments in the city to constantly monitor the situation.
While talking to the reporters during a visit to a government hospital, Bhardwaj said that east and
northeast Delhi have largely been impacted due to floods.
“Cases of conjunctivitis and skin allergy are mostly being reported from relief camps,” the city’s health minister told reporters.
The AAP legislator said that the water level of the
river has risen slightly following a brief drop, as northern parts of the country have witnessed rains in the last two days which are not discharging into the river.
On Monday, the water level of the river was recorded to be 205.84 metres at 1 p.m. (IST), slightly more than the 205.52 metres recorded on Sunday night.
