The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led federal government has called an all-party meeting on Wednesday to discuss issues related to the Monsoon Session of parliament starting this Thursday.The meeting is a customary get-together of all the political parties on the eve of a parliamentary session's start. In the meeting, which is also attended by senior government ministers, the parties put across their issues.According to reports, Chairperson of Rajya Sabha (Upper House of the Parliament) and Indian Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar had called a similar meeting on Tuesday. However, it was deferred as politicians of several parties were unavailable.The opposition parties were holding a meeting in Bengaluru city, Karnataka, while the ruling National Democratic Alliance-led by BJP was holding a meeting in New Delhi.The Monsoon Session is likely to be stormy as the opposition parties - including the Congress Party - will be cornering the government over Manipur violence along with price rises and the alleged misuse of the probe agencies.Ahead of the all-party meet, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh held a meeting with some of his Cabinet colleagues, including Pralhad Joshi and Piyush Goyal.Goyal is the leader of the House in Rajya Sabha while Joshi is the Parliamentary Affairs Minister.Media reports quoting sources said that the three leaders' meeting was in connection with the all-party meeting called by the government.
