Islam's holy book, the Quran, has been desecrated on multiple occasions in Nordic states in recent days.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday blasted the burning of the holy Quran in Denmark.
The latest incident regarding the desecration of the Islamic religious scripture occurred on Monday when a supporter of the right-wing group Danske Patrioter burnt a copy of it in front of the Iraqi Embassy in Copenhagen.
It was a second such occurrence following a similar incident that took place three days ago in the Danish capital. Previously, an Iraqi immigrant residing in Sweden did the same during an anti-Quran protest in Stockholm.

In this light, Sharif termed such incidents as "satanic" before labeling all those people who were involved in disrespecting the Quran as "evil".

"The latest incident of desecration of the Holy Quran in front of an Iraqi Embassy in Denmark has left Muslims all over the world deeply anguished. The recurring pattern of these abominable and Satanic incidents has a sinister design: to hurt interfaith relations, damage peace and harmony and promote religious hatred and Islamophobia," Sharif stated on Twitter.
He also called not to allow "a handful of misguided and evil people to hurt the emotions of billions of people.
The incidents of the Quran's desecration have been condemned by several countries, including Denmark.
"These provocative and shameful acts do not represent the views of the Danish government. Appeal to all to deescalate - violence must never be the response," Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen posted on social media.
The events in Europe even brought arch-rivals India and Pakistan together with the former supporting the latter's resolution in the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHCR) where Islamabad condemned the desecration of the Quran in Europe.
