Iran Unveils Advanced Armed UAV With 2,000 Km Range

Iran, having one of the most potent defense forces in the Middle East, has been expanding its weapons arsenal in recent months, having previously inducted a 2,000-km range ballistic missile this year.
In a major boost to Iran's intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, Iran launched an advanced long-endurance drone on Tuesday, state media reported.
Iran's latest unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) named Mohajer-10 has a range of 2,000 kilometers and can carry out reconnaissance missions for 24 hours in succession.
Besides, Mohajer-10 features electronic warfare modules and other systems to effectively carry out intelligence-gathering activities.
Also, the drone can attain a speed of 210 km per hour and is capable of flying with a load of 300 kilograms, including a variety of armaments and precision-guided munitions.
The tank of Mohajer-10 can store up to 450 liters of fuel, and that is perhaps why it can remain in the sky at a height of 23,000 feet for a full day.

Iran Expanding Portfolio of Defense Products

The development comes at a time when the Gulf nation has tried to focus its energies on developing state-of-the-art defense products for its armed forces.
In May, Iran unveiled a surface-to-surface missile having a range of over 2,000 km.
Before that, the Shiite majority nation had introduced an ultra-long-range cruise missile for its navy, aimed at neutralizing arch-foe US' Tomahawk rockets.
