On Friday, the Indian Navy said that its warships INS Tir, INS Sujata, INS Sudarshini, and ICGS Sarathi visited Phuket to carry out maneuvers at the sea with the Royal Thai Navy.As per a media statement from the Indian Navy, the visit which took place from September 25-28, saw personnel from the maritime forces of the two countries getting "engaged in cross-training visits, professional interaction, sports fixtures, and joint yoga sessions".The visit of the Indian Navy's warships to Thailand came days after the South Asian nation's blue water force was engaged in wargames with the Singaporean Navy last week.The Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX), involving Indian naval vessels, a submarine, and long-range maritime patrol aircraft P8I was "aimed at enhancing interoperability between the two navies".

India's Southeast Asia Outreach Continues as Navy Conducts Maneuvers at Sea with Thailand
The Indian Navy has been focusing on enhancing maritime cooperation with friendly nations in Southeast Asia and has participated in a series of exercises with countries like Vietnam, and Singapore of late.
On Friday, the Indian Navy said that its warships INS Tir, INS Sujata, INS Sudarshini, and ICGS Sarathi visited Phuket to carry out maneuvers at the sea with the Royal Thai Navy.
As per a media statement from the Indian Navy, the visit which took place from September 25-28, saw personnel from the maritime forces of the two countries getting "engaged in cross-training visits, professional interaction, sports fixtures, and joint yoga sessions".
"As part of the Maritime Training Partnership with Royal Thai Naval Ship Klaeng, cross embarkation of trainees, maneuvers, approaches for replenishments at sea were conducted. The visit reinforces maritime linkages and consolidates strong
bond of friendship between the two Navies," the statement added.
The visit of the Indian Navy's warships to Thailand came days after the South Asian nation's blue water force was engaged in wargames with the Singaporean Navy last week.
