Pakistani bowler Shaheen Afridi became the swiftest fast-bowler to claim 100 wickets in one-day internationals (ODI) on Tuesday in the ongoing world cup being held in India.He made Bangladeshi batsman Tanzid Hasan his 100th victim to achieve this feat.The pacer achieved the feat in 51 matches, overtaking Australia’s Mitchell Starc who bagged this many wickets in 52 outings, Pakistani media reported. Shaheen is also the fastest Pakistani bowler to reach 100 wickets, going past Saqlain Mushtaq, who did it in 53 matches. Meanwhile, Pakistan managed to put up a brilliant bowling display after they lost a crucial toss on a dry surface. Thanks to Afridi who set the tone upfront with the new ball, removing Hasan and Shanto in his first two overs itself.Pakistani bowlers managed to bowl out the entire Bangladeshi team at 204 in 45.1 overs by evening.

Pakistani bowler Shaheen Afridi became the swiftest fast-bowler to claim 100 wickets in one-day internationals (ODI) on Tuesday in
the ongoing world cup being held in India.
He made Bangladeshi batsman Tanzid Hasan his 100th victim to achieve this feat.
The 23-year-old left-handed fast-medium bowler broke the record in front of a massive crowd of cricket fans. The record-breaking feat occurred during the Pakistan versus Bangladesh match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The pacer achieved the feat in 51 matches, overtaking Australia’s Mitchell Starc who bagged this many wickets in 52 outings, Pakistani media reported.
Shaheen is also the fastest Pakistani bowler to reach 100 wickets, going past Saqlain Mushtaq, who did it in 53 matches.
Meanwhile, Pakistan managed to put up a brilliant bowling display after they lost a crucial toss on a dry surface. Thanks to Afridi who set the tone upfront with the new ball, removing Hasan and Shanto in his first two overs itself.
Shaheen went on to claim 3 wickets in nine overs at an economy of 2.60 per over. The only other bowler claiming as many wickets from the team was Mohammad Wasim Jr. who bowled 8.1 overs, at the economy of 3.80 runs per over.
Pakistani bowlers managed to bowl out the entire Bangladeshi team at 204 in 45.1 overs by evening.
